Curriculum Vision
At Churchdown Village Infant School, we want children to know that they can make a positive contribution to our special community underpinned by our school values: 'be kind, be honest, be determined'. This starts with our youngest children in Cygnets Nursery, whereby developing a sense of belonging within a school is key.
We want children to have high aspirations of themselves and we support them to reach the goals they set. To do this, our subject leaders ensure that all learning is driven by our shared Curriculum Drivers: Knowledge, Enrichment and Aspiration.

Our Approach to Curriculum
Building a sense of community and belonging extends beyond our Churchdown Village Infant School. Our curriculum leaders are part of wide curriculum teams at the GLA, whereby teachers work together using educational research to ensure best practice in our classrooms.
Core and foundation subjects are taught discretely, so children develop a strong understanding of each subject’s specific knowledge and skills.
