Meet the team
Our pastoral team support our pupils when they need it. This can be through one off support or more focused work.
Pastoral staff at CVIS support the well-being and development of students. Their responsibilities typically include:
- Emotional Support: Providing a safe space for students to discuss their feelings and any issues they may be facing.
- Behavior Management: Helping to manage and improve student behavior through positive reinforcement and conflict resolution strategies.
- Attendance Monitoring: Keeping track of student attendance and addressing any concerns related to absenteeism.
- Parental Engagement: Working closely with parents and guardians to ensure a supportive home environment and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Safeguarding: Ensuring the safety and welfare of students by implementing and adhering to safeguarding policies.
- Social Skills Development: Helping students develop essential social skills and promoting positive interactions among peers.
- Academic Support: Assisting with academic challenges and providing additional support where needed.
Pastoral staff are essential in creating a nurturing and supportive school environment, helping students thrive both academically and personally. If you feel that your child may benefit from support then please contact Mrs. Merrett or Mrs. Williams.
